Aditya Gupta is a seasoned engineering leader with over 14 years of experience in software design and development. He has a proven track record in innovation, architecture, scaling, and delivery of software platforms and products. Aditya has extensive experience in building and scaling products from thousands of users to millions of active users. Currently, Aditya is the Director of Engineering at Hike, where he leads engineering teams for 'Gaming' and 'Play to Earn/Crypto-Native' verticals. He has shipped multiple casual/hyper-casual games for Rush by Hike and figured out the on-chain strategy, creating multiple smart contracts like ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, Wallet, Vesting, etc. Aditya is responsible for scaling up the engineering teams and has successfully led a 40-member team to build Vibe by Hike, a new kind of Avatar Social World. The app has clocked almost 50k dau in six months, creating 250k new connections per month. Aditya has also led a 30-member team to launch two initiatives, "Home" and "BigScreen," inside Hike Sticker Chat, a new messaging app focusing on close friends network. He successfully piloted Hike's first monetization program "Hikestar" inside Hikeland and integrated casual gaming within Hikeland. In his past roles at Hike, Aditya managed infrastructure teams and focused on providing a reliable infrastructure having under 5 millisecond latency and 4 9's of availability for Hike Messenger, which had a 100+ million user base and delivered over a billion messages a day. He also led the messaging backend team at Hike Messenger, where he architected and delivered various new features around privacy and user networks. Aditya led the team in migrating from one cloud provider to another with 'zero' downtime. Aditya holds a BTech + MTech degree in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior. He also attended DAV Model School. Aditya has a diverse tech stack, including Blockchain, Smart Contract, Web3, NFT, Mobile, QA, Infra, DevOps, and Backend.
