Aditya Karnik is a highly experienced professional with over 18 years of experience in start-ups, industrial research labs, and academia. He is currently the VP (Data) at Gojek, where he heads the Data function and oversees the BI, DS, and DeS teams working on more than 10 products/platforms. Aditya has worked in diverse domains, including Risk, Logistics, Driving safety, Industrial internet, Revenue management, and Communication systems. He has a deep understanding of mathematical modeling, predictive modeling, optimization, and control, which are his technical areas of expertise. Aditya has previously worked as the Director of Data Science at Zendrive and as a Senior Scientist at General Electric Global Research. At GE, he was a part of the Modeling & Optimization Lab, Software Sciences, and Analytics team. He has also worked as a Research Scientist at various academic institutions. Aditya holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISC), where he also completed his Master of Engineering in the same field. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications from the Government College of Engineering and Research, Pune.
