Aditya is an accomplished engineering leader with over 18 years of experience in full-stack software product development and management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Technology at Upstox, he has helped grow the engineering team in a short span and set an example for the entire team as a leader. Aditya is skilled in mentoring, leading by example, and scaling engineering teams to high proficiency. Aditya has domain knowledge in OTT and enterprise mobile products on web, mobile, and TV. He is interested in OOPS and software development on Linux. Aditya has a proven track record of hiring and nurturing talent and building teams. Before joining Upstox, Aditya worked as an Engineering Leader at Uber, where he was instrumental in driving customer obsession, mobile platform, and data intelligence. He has also served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Viacom18, where he set up an in-house development team across diverse tech stacks and managed a team of 45+ folks with four deeply hands-on technical leaders. Aditya has worked on several high-profile projects throughout his career, including re-architecting Voot V3 across mobile, web/PWA, and TV apps to more stable and engaging apps. He also led the development effort of Voot Kids, a completely new product from inception to launch, owning design, development, and delivery across mobile and TV apps. Aditya actively helped prototype production-ready face recognition and interactivity management platforms as part of the next big vision for Voot as a tech platform. Aditya holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bapatla Engineering College. He is proficient in several technologies, including Android, mobile, web, JavaScript, iOS, software engineering, backend, AWS, research science, and frontend.
