Aditya Kumar is a seasoned Compiler Engineer with over 9 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at Snapchat as a Software Engineer, where he is responsible for implementing novel compiler optimization algorithms like hot cold splitting, gvn hoist, and SCoP detection. These algorithms are used to optimize all iOS mobile applications, report SPEC benchmarks by major processor vendors, and optimize HPC applications. Aditya has also improved the performance of C++ standard library algorithms in libc++, libstdc++, including widely used algorithms like string::find and iostream::xsgetn. Aditya has deployed tools that found serious performance, code size, and correctness issues in code bases of very high business value. He has made resilient changes to very large C++ code bases, including compiler warnings, exceptions, and migrating to C++-17. Aditya has presented his original work at top international conferences like LLVM developers conference, Open source summit, Cppcon, Cppnow, SPLASH, Design Automation Conference, and serves as program chair of llvm-workshop at CGO since 2017. In addition to his work at Snapchat, Aditya is also a Distinguished Speaker at ACM Association for Computing Machinery, providing direct access to top technology leaders and innovators through the ACM Distinguished Speaker Program. Aditya has a Master of Science degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from NIT Hamirpur. He also holds an ISc degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Patna Science College. Aditya's technical skills include software engineering, iOS, and mobile development.
