Aditya Lad is a Principal Software Architect with over 15 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity and software engineering. Currently, he is leading the security architecture efforts at Grab, focusing on cloud infrastructure security, application security, and privacy by design across hundreds of engineering services and teams. Aditya's expertise lies in backend engineering, microservices, data lakes, data engineering, and anonymization and differential privacy. He is also well-versed in architecture, design, open-source, and patent reviews, and has extensive experience with clouds such as AWS and Azure. Aditya has a strong background in application security for frontend, mobile, and backend apps, cryptography, and secrets management, and SAST and DAST. He also has experience in enterprise architecture and security, covering identity and access management, privileged access management, EDR/EPP tooling for servers, containers, and user endpoints, anti-malware controls, email security, and data leakage prevention. Aditya has worked with several leading companies in the past, including MakeMyTrip and RSA Security. At MakeMyTrip, he designed and developed highly scalable and low latency microservices to drive dynamic discount adjustments based on a multi-armed bandit implementation. He also developed a large-scale AWS Redshift cluster-based data science feature store that powers dynamic pricing, discounting, and rankings for hotels. At RSA Security, Aditya worked as a senior developer on several RSA products, including Data Protection Manager and RSA SecurID Authentication Manager. Aditya holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He is proficient in several technologies, including Golang, Python, Java, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, MySQL, Redis, AWS, and Azure. Aditya is a research scientist and has found multiple vulnerabilities, including remote denial of service attacks in one of the popular web application servers and path traversal vulnerabilities in Belkin N150 routers. He has also created "Ignoramus," a centralized analytics system that monitors and analyzes data from different honeypot systems.
