Aditya Ravishankar is a Masters student at the Indian Institute of Science, pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a focus on computer systems. With a keen interest in computer architecture, performance, and operating systems, Aditya is a Reliance Foundation Scholar and an intern at AMD, where he works with the Server Performance Group (SPG). At AMD, Aditya has been analyzing the performance of Function as a Service (FaaS) workloads on AMD servers using vHive, an open-source FaaS offering from academia. He has conducted wide-ranging experiments and analyzed patterns and observations for a set of FaaS functions, performing scaling studies across physical cores, virtual CPUs, memory capacities, and scalability of the vHive infrastructure. The final outcome of his work involved a paper (under consideration) at GTAAC, an internal conference of AMD, which compared and brought out the observations across two open-source FaaS offerings, vHive and OpenWhisk. Prior to his work at AMD, Aditya has worked as a Content Editor at Gate Overflow and an Engineer at Fractal Analytics. He has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from the College of Engineering and a diploma from Delhi Public School. Aditya's technical expertise lies in infrastructure, and he has almost three years of relevant experience. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree, which he is scheduled to complete in December 2023.
