Aditya Shah is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer with 4.11 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is a Summer Research Intern at the Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics, where he is working on Vehicle Detection to analyze traffic flow within the campus. Aditya has developed a system that detects vehicles in each frame of a video using SVM and Haar Cascade Algorithm. The system runs on Distributed File System for large-scale data processing using Dumbo API. Prior to his current role, Aditya worked as a SURGE Research Intern at ncflexe, where he worked on developing a cost-effective anti-counterfeiting technology. His project involved identifying 3D textures, authenticating images, and generating signatures of images for indexing and searching. This was part of a larger project to commercialize a patented lab implementation to tackle counterfeiting problems for any product being sold anywhere, with the plan to move it out of the IITK lab in the form of an independent startup entity. Aditya has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Web Intelligence and Social Computing Lab, where he worked on Event Extraction from code mixed data (Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil) of social media text under Dr. Yashvardhan Sharma. Aditya holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also completed his schooling from Symbiosis School Nashik. Aditya has a strong technical background and is proficient in software engineering, AWS, web, Apache Hive, Spark, test, and infra. With his diverse experience in research and development, Aditya is a valuable asset to any organization. He is a quick learner, a team player, and has a passion for solving complex problems.
