Aditya Sreekumar is a Software Team Lead at Motional with over 10 years of experience in the software development industry. He has a strong desire to build products that meet the needs of consumers, and has grown from a technical contributor to a team leader focused on building highly collaborative and effective teams. Aditya maintains a balance between high-quality software products and incremental product deliveries to ensure meeting the needs of the programs he works in. Aditya is a software developer with a background in robotics and embedded firmware development. He brings extensive experience in driving new products and features from inception to manufacturing, including requirements gathering, system designs, software development, quality assurance, and manufacturing testing. Currently, Aditya is leading a team of 12 engineers at Motional to develop safe and reliable infrastructure software for their self-driving vehicle platform. He is also leading the bring-up of parts of the Motional hardware platform, designing systems to ensure functional needs of the autonomous vehicle are met while adhering to software development best practices. Aditya's past experience includes leading a team of 18 engineers at Motional to develop infrastructure for sensor fusion and object detection algorithms using C++14 on Linux and QNX operating systems. He also spearheaded the efforts to align company goals to team deliverables, creating periodic releases and milestones to communicate both within the team and to external stakeholders of the path to completion of the program goal. Aditya has a Master of Science in Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amrita University. His technical skills include QNX-based development, scalable infrastructure software, C++, and Python. He is also skilled in team leadership and technical guidance.
