Adrià Romero is a highly experienced Product Manager, Data Scientist, and Research Scientist with over 9 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Founder and Instructor at ProductizeML, a company that educates and trains teams building Machine Learning products to understand the technology in depth and bridge the gap between this and the deployment of AI systems in the real world. Adrià has a strong background in Computer Science, having earned a Master's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. He also spent time as a Visiting Student at Florida Atlantic University, where he worked on his Bachelor's Thesis: Deep Learning for Medical Imaging. Adrià's past experience includes working as a Technical Product Manager at Triage, where he led the technology development of an AI-powered medical assessment tool able to recognize over 500 skin conditions with accuracy on a par with dermatologists. He also executed the planning, development, and maintenance behind the Data & ML Infrastructure platform that enabled data management, model training, evaluation, and deployment via Triage’s API, built in GCP, Python & Keras, reducing the model deployment time by 80%. Adrià also assisted in establishing strategic partnerships with hospitals, pharmaceutical and healthcare provisioning companies such as Novartis Spain and Global, and Sanitas (Bupa group) to adopt the technology, foster and grow existing collaborator sponsor base. Before that, Adrià worked as a Data Scientist at Triage, where he served as a liaison between Data Science, Engineering, UI/UX, and Marketing teams for the definition of the product vision, roadmap, user research, and prioritization toward the successful launch of the macroscopy and dermoscopy skin classifiers with 100k+ active users. He also conceptualized, A/B tested and shipped several consumer-focused features including a reworked Question & Answer workflow, an improved symptom checker, and a picture cropping tool, that resulted in a 25% total increase in conversions. Adrià is highly skilled in a variety of tech stacks, including ML, AI, infra, Keras, Python, GCP, MySQL, ETL, and Mobile.
