Adrian Cosma is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in managing and leading software engineering teams in the automotive research and development industry. He is currently serving as the Department Leader for Software and System Engineering at ZF Group's technical engineering center in Timisoara, Romania. In his current role, Adrian is responsible for managing all processes and functions across the R&D organizations, from definition to implementation and monitoring, at both strategic and operational levels. He ensures compliance with legislation and the company's vision, mission statement, and values. Adrian is also responsible for defining, rolling out, and continuously monitoring and correcting processes according to the maturity level of the organization and in close adherence to the strategic objectives and development plans. Adrian's main areas of expertise include people and project management, recruitment, employee evaluation and motivation, software/system testing, and function/algorithm development for automotive systems, especially in the safety and engine control area. He also coordinates development projects in the tooling area and defines, rolls out, and continuously monitors and corrects change processes, continuous improvement processes, and organizational assessments with the target to reach state of the art at all layers and provide customer satisfaction while maintaining controllable costs. Adrian's motto is "Get it done" while always having in mind the "Next Level." He has a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Universitatea "Politehnica" din Timisoara. Adrian is also a certified leader and has completed multiple leadership training programs. He has worked at BeeSpeed's Timisoara Engineering Center, where he managed the Automotive R&D Division of the company, which is encapsulated under the TEC department. Adrian has also worked as a team leader for software testing and tool development at BeeSpeed, where he was responsible for software testing for embedded systems and the development of software tools for one of the largest suppliers for the Automotive Industry in the active safety systems area. Adrian's technical skills include test, integration, web, software engineering, and QA. He is passionate about building strong engineering culture and teams in Automotive R&D and is always looking for opportunities to take his team to the next level.
