Adrian Kramer is an experienced Engineering Manager at Justworks, specializing in building distributed systems and backends for web applications. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Adrian is skilled in writing real-time stream processing systems, high-throughput APIs, and distributed ETL pipelines for data warehousing and model building. Adrian has a strong background in socket-level, event-based/asynchronous, and multi-threaded programming. Prior to his current role, Adrian served as a Senior Software Engineer at Justworks, where he quickly established himself as a valuable asset to the team. Before joining Justworks, Adrian was Senior Backend Engineer & Tech Lead at Chartbeat, where he planned and architected backend and infrastructural changes for new, core product features built on complex, distributed legacy systems. Adrian also oversaw the project to scale core product to handle multi-account aggregation across their real-time and historical systems, to aid centralized news teams consisting of hundreds of websites. He presided over agile development for a team of four engineers, including breaking down work, loading it into project management software, and leading scrum rituals including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science from Brown University, where he studied from 2010 to 2014. He also holds a High School Diploma from North High School, where he was an International Baccalaureate Diploma Recipient from 2006 to 2010.
