Adrian Mezinski is a Backend Developer and Team Tech Lead at Flyt/SkipTheDishes with over half a decade of experience running and managing a company of 20-30 people and over 3 years of professional experience as a software developer. Adrian's current role at Flyt involves directing technical initiatives within his squad by leveraging a breadth of domain knowledge combined with good coding practice. He designs, develops, and maintains POS (point-of-sale) integrations written in Typescript and Golang. Adrian wires up their integrations to an event-driven architecture leveraging Golang microservices, Prometheus metrics and alerting, and Grafana for analytics. He writes large-scale payload transformations within the above-mentioned integrations, always keeping efficiency and clean, tested code in mind. Adrian utilizes AWS for object storage and data stores, leveraged by both their integrations and microservices. He has experience in building and maintaining Golang microservices across their organization and transitioning to Golang microservices from a previous monolith architecture. Adrian is the appointed Service Reliability Engineer within his squad, constantly working towards making sure their microservices meet a certain standard of quality in terms of logging, metrics, alerting, etc. He builds Grafana dashboards leveraged by Prometheus metrics and alerts for their integrations and services. Adrian works with key partners in the industry, such as RBI (Tim Hortons, Popeyes, etc.), offering them ongoing support in their integration's lifespan and building the integrations closely with them as a part of the development process in the building/testing/piloting phase. Adrian's past experience includes working as a Developer at Vehikl, where he focused on full-stack web development in a Laravel environment supplemented by Typescript and React. He also worked as a Software Developer at Info-Tech Research Group, where he was responsible for back-end code implementation and communication between many different products, some client-facing and some internal tooling. Adrian took part in heading the development of a Slack API Application to streamline their internal production deployment process. He worked on additions to the main InfoTech website, adding in new pages, features, and products for their clients to intake and their sales division to sell.
