Adrienne Lin is an experienced software developer with a passion for building APIs. She has expertise in Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, and MongoDB. Adrienne started her career as a telecom network engineer and completed a leadership program with multiple roles. However, she realized that telecom was not her life passion and transitioned to the health tech industry. As a product manager at an early-stage startup, she admired the work of software engineers and decided to become one herself. Currently, Adrienne is the Co-Founder/CTO of NectarVet, a next-gen veterinarian software creating seamless end-to-end workflows and delightful user experience. She was recruited by the venture studio Fractal Software to be a CTO for one of their portfolio companies. As the sole technical founder, she recruited an incredible team of five exceptionally talented and kind senior software engineers. Unfortunately, she was pushed out by her co-founder without warning and left with no equity. However, her lessons learned about tech, recruiting, resilience, and people were invaluable. Adrienne has worked with several companies in the past, including Poshmark and Crave It. At Poshmark, she worked as a Senior Software Engineer, Growth, and led the technical design and execution of Posh Stories & Posh Affiliate Program. At Crave It, she was the First Backend Engineer and designed and built Ruby on Rails backend and Postgres database to deliver an MVP for a social food recommendation app. Adrienne has a Master of Engineering Management degree from Duke University, and she completed her Computer Programming degree from App Academy. She also has a B.S.E degree from Duke University in Civil/Structural Engineering, Sociology Minor, and attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. In addition to her technical skills, Adrienne enjoys sharing food, lifting heavy things at the gym, and sharing her unabashedly authentic self on social media. She is a Senior Software Engineer with over ten years of relevant experience and has expertise in Backend, Ruby, MongoDB, Javascript, product management, Redis, Python, iOS, Search, and Postgres.
