Afsar Ahmed is a Full Stack Developer with over 10 years of experience in the information technology and service industry. He works through the development backlog, refactoring existing functionality, improving the scalability and robustness of the application, performing QA and UAT smoke testing before deployment, and deploying builds to production while giving production support. Prior to Optum, Afsar worked as a Software Engineer at Tekzenit where he was responsible for creating visually appealing web pages or interfaces, adding programming interaction with JavaScript and/or a library such as jQuery, Angular, React, integrating backend API’s to front end framework, reviewing code for performance, and assisting others in writing best code. He also did UI testing, fixed cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies, developed WordPress plugins and themes from static HTML pages, and was sent to the US for project requirement gathering and deployment. As a Software Developer at Dataroutes Knowledge Services, Afsar reviewed the current problem and presented ideas for existing system improvements, worked closely with analysts and beta-users applying agile patterns to overcome problems in a specified time span, produced detailed specifications, wrote the programmed codes, prepared training manuals for users, and provided production support once the system was up and running. Afsar holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology.
