Afzal Khan is a Full Stack Developer with a diverse range of experience in programming, relational databases, cloud computing, and the development and maintenance of complex systems. He currently works at Upstox as an SDE 2, where he is responsible for designing and implementing software solutions to solve complex problems. Afzal has a passion for finding solutions to complex algorithmic problems and enjoys working with a variety of technologies. He has experience working with Python, Java, Microservices, Javascript, AWS, Elastic Search, Spring Boot, and more. Afzal is well-versed in both backend and frontend development and has a deep understanding of how to build scalable and reliable systems. Prior to joining Upstox, Afzal worked as an SDE 1 at the same company and as a Software Engineer at Value3. At Value3, he was responsible for developing webscrapers for automating data collection processes, developing and owning microservices for account opening processes, and enhancing various components of the backend system to reduce costs and handle failovers appropriately. He also resolved production issues while on-call. Afzal has a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from the Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He also has a Higher Secondary degree in Science from SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce Sion(W) and completed his 10th Standard from CGEES High School.
