Agnes Crepet is a passionate Tech Lead with over 20 years of software engineering experience, dedicated to making Tech fairer, more diverse, and inclusive. She co-founded Ninja Squad in 2012, which is well-known in France for its core values of code matters, open source support, and cooperative management. Agnes is a hands-on Software & IT Engineering Leader, currently serving as the Head of Software Longevity & IT at Fairphone, a social enterprise that builds a movement for fairer electronics. Agnes leads the IT team and Software Engineering team at Fairphone, where she fights software obsolescence. She is a big fan of the Shape Up approach from Basecamp and Holacracy and a few of Agile are their best companions. She leads the Software Longevity team, working on building a long-lasting phone keeping security updates, bug fixes, and Android upgrades. As an example, Fairphone 2 is the only phone on the market with Android 7 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset. Doing this kind of upgrade is a serious research and development work rather than predictable software developments. Agnes is a big advocate of knowledge sharing. She teaches Software Engineering & Agile methodologies and leads the Learning Innovation Department at Mines Saint-Etienne, a French engineering school. She also talks about technical or non-technical topics at several Tech events and leads Tech communities. Agnes is in the board of Duchess France, a collective that promotes Women in Tech, led the Lyon Java User Group for 5 years, and is the co-founder of a Tech Conference, MiXiT. She has been awarded Java Champion in 2012, which is a group of passionate Java technology leaders who are community-nominated. Agnes has experience in various companies, including Ninja Squad, where she was a Co-Founder, and Mines Saint-Etienne, where she was a Software Engineering Teacher and Head of Learning Innovation Department. She has a Specialized Master's degree in Software Engineering from the École des Mines de Saint-Etienne and a High school diploma (French Baccalauréat S) in Sciences - Mathematics specialization from Lycée Jean Monnet, Saint-Etienne. Agnes has a diverse tech stack that includes Android, Java, Spring, Research Scientist, Senior Software Engineer, test, Web, and Backend. She has relevant experience of 22.04 years. Agnes is happily working for Fairphone and is not looking for new
