Ahmed Farooki is an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer with over 12 years of relevant experience in PHP, PERL, JavaScript, and Node.js. As a Technical Lead at Point, he has worked on both front-end and back-end development technologies, including highly scalable infrastructures and server-side technologies such as MySQL, Memcached, and Redis. As a PHP Developer at FriendFinder Networks Inc., Ahmed worked on large scale applications with over 4000 servers, including 450+ database servers. He was the lead API engineer for the FriendFinder API (FFNAPI) project, which mimics Facebook's Graph API and enables iframe-based third-party applications across FriendFinder sites. Ahmed also architected and deployed REST-based JSON APIs for Photo/Video Contests, including a new image/video uploading tool. He refactored XML-based APIs across the site to use new internal libraries and JSON-based APIs instead, and dramatically reduced load times up to 20-30% for various pages using Memcached.
