Ahmed Husain is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of experience in the buy and sell side across two continents and multiple blue-chip institutions. He is currently the Global Head of Family Offices and Endowments at Neuberger Berman, where he is responsible for sourcing, curating, analyzing, and monitoring attractive investment opportunities across asset classes for UHNW investors and family offices. Before joining Neuberger Berman, Ahmed built and ran the LOIM Family Office, Endowment, and Foundation practice, where he developed deep expertise across a broad range of European clients and gained a better understanding of the changes in the asset management industry. He was also a PM at Altice Capital (Drahi Family office), where he was in charge of the firm's public market portfolio and alternative investment portfolio, totaling EUR 500mm. Prior to transitioning to the buy side, Ahmed was a Goldman Sachs MD, where he built many businesses across continents and divisions. He lived in NY from 1999 to 2009, in his last role there, he ran the credit structuring & marketing desk for Goldman Sachs NY, helping the firm's global clients navigate credit markets from 2006-2009. Ahmed is an active angel investor and an LP in several venture capital firms, including March Capital, Sound Ventures, Future Capital (China), Sky9 (China), XiangHe (China), first minute capital, Chalfen Ventures, Ada Ventures, Bracket Capital, Kindred & Stride. He is also a mentor at Entrepreneur First, a leading global business builder, where he works with and mentors a range of their portfolio companies on their product, customer, and capital raising strategy. Ahmed holds an Executive Program degree from Singularity University, an MBA from New York University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Northwestern University. He also attended City School. His expertise lies in working across Markets, Technology, and Family Offices, and he has relevant experience of 21.11 years.
