With over 13 years of relevant experience in the field of data engineering, he has a strong track record of building data pipelines from scratch, creating end-to-end data pipelines using CI/CD in Python, and ingesting data in real-time and batch from various structured and unstructured sources. Ahmed has a proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Supply Chain, Marketing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance, to understand their data needs and design and implement data engineering strategies that align with their business goals. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions using AWS Redshift, AWS EMR, and open-source stack, and has worked with various business intelligence tools such as Microstrategy and PowerBI. Prior to joining noon.com, Ahmed worked as a Lead Data Engineer at Fetchr, where he was responsible for designing and implementing Fetchr's 3-year data engineering strategy. He has also worked as a Data Engineer at dubizzle - Naspers Classifieds, where he was responsible for all aspects of data warehousing, including ETL, database design, BI reporting, and day-to-day DWH operations.
