Ahmed Soliman is a skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in building and maintaining data-intensive applications and infrastructure. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer III at Yelp, where he is a part of the Stream Processing team responsible for the Flink infrastructure. He is leading the development of a Flink Auto tuning System and writing technical specifications to improve, maintain, and support Flink infrastructure at Yelp. Ahmed has also played a crucial role in migrating the platform to use Flink restarting strategy, increasing reliability and fixing memory leaks. He has worked on introducing new Flink and Beam versions to the platform, helping Yelp teams in their migrations. Additionally, he has been a core contributor to the team brainstorming, planning, and future roadmap. Ahmed is also the point of support for the Flink platform, helping Yelp engineers build applications using Flink.
