Ahsas Sood is a Senior Associate at Morgan Stanley with a passion for exploring how technology can be used to create a healthful, connected, and thriving community. A graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, Ahsas has over 2.5 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. At Morgan Stanley, Ahsas is currently leading the eSign team as a full stack developer, which has eliminated dependency on paper for legal forms for Morgan Stanley clients, increasing accessibility across the globe. Her tech stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Db2. She was also a finalist for the Technology Innovation Program for ‘Giving back’ for developing a UI quality gate to enhance accessibility of web content for people with disabilities. Ahsas is a Policy in Action Fellow at Young Leaders for Active Citizenship, where she worked on a live project ‘Strengthening Women Empowerment Schemes in AP’ for Sri Krishna Devarayalu Lavu (Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Andhra Pradesh). She undertook extensive research to evaluate the existing policy initiatives undertaken by the state government of Andhra Pradesh and presented a policy brief to the MP’s office providing a scheme evaluation framework and policy suggestions to improve the efficiency of women empowerment. Ahsas has also worked as a Research Intern at Ashoka University's Center for Studies in Gender and Sexuality, where she engaged in research about women in STEM, science and society, feminism & nature, and queer relationships with science. She wrote reaction papers and blogs regarding the gender gap in technology for Ashoka University's Medium handle. Ahsas is proficient in several technologies, including Research Scientist, Spring Boot, Spring, UI, Web, Java, and AngularJS. She believes that computer systems are empowering pieces of technology that provide a plethora of opportunities to create what we once couldn't imagine from scratch.
