Aidan Church is the Head of Payments & Logistics, Trust & Safety at Whatnot, a16z, CapitalG, DST, & YC backed and the fastest growing marketplace in the US. With over 11 years of relevant experience, Aidan has a proven track record of technical leadership and project delivery across multiple engineering teams. Prior to his current role, Aidan served as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Lyft, where he was responsible for technical roadmap, operational health, and project delivery across multiple engineering teams. He also provided technical leadership and core marketplace contributions spurred by regulatory changes in many of Lyft's largest markets. Before that, he worked as a Software Engineer at Qwil, where he used Python and the Django-Rest-Framework to develop APIs and services. Aidan holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from University College Dublin and a High School Leaving Certificate from Coláiste Phádraig, Lucan. He is skilled in software engineering, Python, Redis, Django, and senior software engineering. Aidan is currently hiring engineers at all levels to work with him on a variety of engineering teams from Trust & Safety, which ensures the platform is safe and welcoming for all, to the core of the commerce experience in the Payments & Logistics team. He is passionate about enabling anyone to turn their passion into a business and bringing people together through commerce.
