Aidas Liaudanskas is a highly experienced Machine Learning Engineer based in San Francisco. With a passion for implementing the latest research papers in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, he constantly strives to come up with novel approaches to tackle unsolved problems in the field. Aidas is an expert in building data pipelines and has extensive experience with Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, etc.) and C++ (multithreading and hardware-level/embedded programming). He holds a Master of Engineering in Information and Computer Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where his research project on "Approaches to Understanding Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)" was awarded a 1st class grade. Currently, Aidas is the Lead ML Research Engineer at Fyusion, where he focuses on research-oriented projects. He has previously worked at Cisco as a Machine Learning Intern, where he significantly improved the previous-best keyword detector by improving the architecture and removing bias from the dataset. He also built an easy-to-use TensorFlow-based framework to build, train, and test multiple models in a single run. Aidas has a strong interest in Autonomous Vehicles and Software Engineering. He has worked on several projects in the field of Computer Vision, including semantic segmentation, classification, detection, 2D-3D mapping, and unsupervised learning.
