Ainsley Escorce-Jones is a highly skilled staff software engineer with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, she works at Stripe as a Staff Software Engineer, where she has been instrumental in developing and improving the company's software infrastructure. She is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working with cutting-edge technologies and is always looking for ways to improve her skills. Before joining Stripe, Ainsley worked as a Software Engineer at Improbable, where she was part of the Internal Platform team of the Infrastructure Unit. During her time there, she built tooling to improve and containerize CI, introduced linting across infrastructure codebases, and wrote DBProto, a Protocol Buffer based ORM in Go which is used extensively internally. She also rewrote the internal OAuth2 authentication service and open-sourced a Go OAuth2 server library. She led the migration of the Go codebase build to Bazel, in line with builds in the rest of the company. Ainsley built an internal framework for safely writing long-running tasks and migrated tasks orchestrated by clients to the server-side. Ainsley also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Oculus VR, where she spent three months on the Oculus Platform team helping to build and launch the Oculus application store. She built scripts to run and validate user data migrations from AWS to Facebook Infrastructure, APIs to access the store, and internal tooling to manage items. She primarily worked with GraphQL and Hack. She also spent three months with the Facebook Security Team (Protect And Care) to build and roll out the Login Service, which now manages all user logins at Facebook. She worked with C++, Hack, and internal cryptography libraries and received the highest rating available to interns in peer reviews from both managers and coworkers. Ainsley holds a Computing MEng degree from Imperial College London, where she studied Information Technology. Her tech stack includes Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, infra, and AWS.
