Ainun Najib is a highly experienced Head of Analytics, Platform & Regional Business at Grab, with over 15 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Ainun is a self-proclaimed learner, who believes that learning is a never-ending journey that we must embark on adventurously. Currently, Ainun is working as a Seed Investor at bonza, where he is responsible for providing funding to startups to help them grow and succeed. Prior to this, Ainun worked at Grab as the Head of Analytics, Platform & Regional Business, where he was responsible for envisioning, proposing, pursuing, and executing various data-driven initiatives. These initiatives include data discovery, real-time analytics, ML-based analytics, user-centric analytics data platforms, self-service analytics, and automated experimentation analytics, among others. Ainun was also responsible for the adoption of Azure data services, such as Azure Synapse for Analytics Data Warehouse, and the migration of analytics and data science into the Azure data services and Power BI ecosystem. Before his role as the Head of Analytics, Platform & Regional Business at Grab, Ainun also worked as the Head of Business Data Platform at Grab, where he helped solve critical transportation challenges and made transport freedom a reality for over 620 million people in Southeast Asia. Ainun holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and has relevant experience in Azure, Data Warehouse, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, ML, Data Science, and Mobile technologies.
