Aitik Gupta is a postgraduate student in his final year from IIIT, Gwalior. He has gained experience in various domains of tech, including C2C marketplaces, FoodTech, and FinTech ecosystems during his time at firms like Mercari Japan, Swiggy (SuprDaily), and FamPay. Aitik has implemented, optimized, and maintained the backend for numerous product features, gaining expertise in software engineering, backend development, microservices, web development, Android, and iOS. Aitik's personal projects involve applying core CS academia, databases, and design patterns into real-time utilities, which are open-sourced on GitHub. Along with his passion for technology, Aitik likes to blog about his journey, participate in stage and street theaters, compete in casual e-sports, and explore cuisines during his free time. Currently, Aitik works as a Software Engineer Intern at Mercari, where he migrated the seller-home microservice to homogeneously serve the web among other clients, achieving feature parity hinted to 38% users, enabling faster experimentation formerly limited by client's fixed release cycles. He also decoupled the focal RPC fragment logic using the hexagonal pattern in v2 API during 4 listing microservices merger. Aitik has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Supr Daily, where he composed 3 servers in Go to extricate real-time demand shaping, with support for multiple versioned migrations. He formulated LLDs for all existing demand shaping APIs, 5 events, and cron jobs in the warehouse management system. At FamPay, Aitik revamped the referral engine with a conditional data structure, fixing bugs in production impacting ~130K rewards. He also implemented endpoints and 4 HCC entities to get the user's monthly transaction summary, masked card, VPA, etc. Aitik modularized the rewards status engine to incorporate allocation and processing of temporary claimed reward conditions. Aitik's educational background includes an Integrated Post Graduate in Masters of Technology in Information Technology from IIITM, Gwalior, and a High School Diploma in Science from St. Xavier School, Delhi.
