Ajay Bose is a highly experienced Software Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Member of Technical Staff at PayPal, where he is responsible for designing and developing multiple APIs for handling customer requirements using real-time decisioning capabilities. Ajay is passionate about building products that have a positive impact on people's lives. During his time at PayPal, Ajay has led teams of up to 10 engineers in various projects, including porting the platform of numerous decision services, building features for a high-performance gateway service, and creating an API for routing customer calls better. He has also developed the ability to suggest FAQ items dynamically on HelpCenter/IVR, which has greatly reduced the number of calls to customer care. Ajay has built around 2000 data variables from the ground up, enabling domain teams to adopt the new platform much faster. He has also centralized application logging from the Async framework and optimized the netty pipeline. Before joining PayPal, Ajay worked as a Software Engineer 2 at the same company, where he designed and built an offline taxId->accounts linking, which helped PayPal identify and limit customers with multiple accounts with the same taxID. He also carried out beta testing on compliance FATCA dashboard to have customers complete the FATCA process faster, thereby avoiding having to block the customers and lose business. Ajay holds a PG Program in Big Data Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering from MEC.
