Ajay Gurunathan is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology (Computer Science) from Anna University and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Santa Clara University. Currently, Ajay is working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Santa Clara University, where he teaches courses in Computer Engineering, including Database Systems, Abstract Data Types and Structures, Computer Forensics, and Web Programming. He is responsible for designing course materials, delivering lectures, and assessing student performance. Prior to his current role, Ajay worked as a Software Intern at Cadence Design Systems, where he designed and modeled a database for Storage Resource Management using Entity Relationship model. He also performed Extract, Transform and Loading (ETL) of Storage data from UNIX systems into a database using Pentaho Data Integration tool (SPOON) and wrote Perl and Shell scripts to pre-process and clean data for processing by Pentaho. Ajay also worked as a Software Engineer at Infosys, where he developed software for clients in the financial and banking industry. He has experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, and testing. Ajay's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Web Programming, MySQL, ETL, Integration, and testing.
