Ajay Jaiswal is a highly motivated and accomplished PhD scholar at the University of Texas at Austin. With a focus on Medical Imaging, Image Restoration, and Sparse Optimization, Ajay is currently working on image restoration under extreme conditions, specifically atmospheric turbulence. He is also developing AI algorithms across computer vision and natural language processing to assist in critical medical decision-making. Prior to joining the University of Texas at Austin, Ajay completed his Masters in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he was advised by Prof. Animesh Mukherjee and Prof. Pawan Goyal at the CNeRG Lab. He also worked as Lead Research Engineer at Advanced Technology Lab, Samsung Electronics, India, under the supervision of Dr. Vijay Narayan Tiwari. Ajay's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Machine Learning/Computer Vision from the University of Texas, a Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence from IIT, and Intermediate and High School degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from Gyan Kunj Academy. Ajay's technical skills include research scientist, Python, Computer Vision, AI, Mobile, and NLP.
