Ajay Kumar is a product-oriented engineering leader with a strong coding background and a great interest in product design. He has worked on multiple languages and frameworks and has the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Currently working as an Engineering Manager at Gojek, Ajay is focused on solving complex business challenges with technology. With 8.70 years of relevant experience, Ajay has worked with various companies in different roles. At Zilingo, he worked as an Engineering Leader (SDE 4) and led a team of 3 backend engineers, 2 frontend engineers, 1 product manager, 1 design, and 1 QA. He built the Apparel Sourcing backend tech for Zilingo from scratch and worked very closely with the Apparel Sourcing business team to understand the sourcing business and its challenges. At Zilingo, he also worked as a Mobile App Lead and led a team of 7 mobile developers, 1 product manager, and 2 QA's to build and maintain all mobile applications in Zilingo. He was involved in analyzing and defining the product flow to improve the conversion funnel and worked closely with a team of backend engineers in developing the consumer-facing APIs to support both web and mobile applications. Ajay has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology Raipur. He also completed his High School education in Science from JVM Shyamali. Ajay's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Backend, iOS, Mobile, product manager, qa, product designer, MongoDB, Microservices, Scala, Kafka, Frontend, Software Engineer, Java, Research Scientist, Web, and designer.
