Ajay Malhotra is a Managing Partner at a Canada Startup Company and a General Partner at Tacenda Capital, where he supports immigrant founders through Canada's Start-up Visa program. He has worked in multiple countries on work visas and has tried to immigrate to the USA, which took much longer than anticipated. Ajay migrated to Canada in 2009 and started helping potential immigrants to come to Canada. Since 2017, he has been actively involved in the Start-Up Visa process. As a General Partner at Tacenda Capital, Ajay manages an investment outlay of $100 million in Software, Tech, and Real Estate. He is an experienced entrepreneur and angel investor with startup mentorship experience at MaRS Discovery District (world's largest urban incubator) and Toronto Business Development Center (Canada's first Incubator). Ajay has a diverse education history, including a Course in Machine Learning from Stanford University, a Course in Financial Markets from Yale University, and a Master's Degree in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences. He also has Bachelor's Degrees in Computer Science from IBM-ACE, a joint program of IBM & IIT Kanpur, and in Business/Commerce, General from Delhi University. Ajay's tech stack includes infra, Bitcoin, and ML, and he has 19.20 years of relevant experience. He leads CSC Venture Studio, focused on providing early-stage capital (via their fund CSC Venture fund L.P.) and integrated legal, technical, and business services.
