Ajay Raghothama is an experienced Engineering Manager at Practo with a specialization in Design and Development in Android Applications/Android Framework. With over 11 years of experience in the field, he has a proven track record of managing small to medium-sized Agile teams. Ajay has a strong background in planning and developing software applications and frameworks, as well as coaching and mentoring individuals to realize their potential. In his current role at Practo, Ajay is responsible for managing the engineering team and overseeing the development of their products. He has a wide range of technical skills, including Java, C, C++, Jenkins, Python, and Ruby. His experience in managing teams and using Agile methodologies has helped him to deliver timely releases to customers and clients. Prior to joining Practo, Ajay worked as a Project Manager at Radisys, where he managed teams for improving the overall stability of the web-based OS for feature phones. He was also responsible for building proprietary components for the OS and ensuring timely releases to customers. Ajay was involved in planning and executing using Agile methodologies and had frequent customer/client interaction. At Mediakind, Ajay worked as an Engineering Manager - Product Development, managing a team of 12-15 members comprising of Devs and QA (Manual and Automation). He was responsible for planning and executing features on Mediafirst Application on Android, AndroidTV, and iOS. He also coached and mentored individuals to realize their potential and designed and developed features on Mediafirst Application on Android and Android TV. Ajay maintained the CI/CD pipeline for SDK and Applications for Android, AndroidTV, and iOS. Ajay earned his Master's Degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, in 2014. His technical skills include Senior Software Engineer, Android, Jenkins, Web, iOS, CI/CD, and QA. With nearly 12 years of relevant experience, Ajay is a seasoned Engineering Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products and leading successful teams.
