Ajay Rao is a business leader with 14 years of diverse professional experience in advertising strategy, brand marketing, product/category management, business expansion, and P&L management. As the AVP and Head of Paytm Health, he is responsible for the business and P&L of Health & Groceries. Ajay has a proven track record of success in launching and scaling businesses. He was part of the core business team that launched Swiggy's Private Labels and Cloud Kitchen businesses in Swiggy's New Supply division. Starting from concept ideation to trials to soft launch and finally to a full-fledged launch, he created a couple of successful brands and scaled them to millions of orders a month in a very short time. Prior to his current role, Ajay was the General Manager at Paytm. He has also worked with Airtel and DDB in the past. Ajay holds an MBA in Marketing from NMIMS and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from MAHE. He completed his ISC from The Frank Anthony Public School, Bangalore. With almost 15 years of relevant experience, Ajay is a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of the Indian market. He has a deep understanding of the consumer mindset and has a proven ability to launch and scale businesses.
