Ajay Sharma is a seasoned IT professional with over 15 years of experience in various roles within the IT ecosystem. He has expertise in software development in Java/EE, system integration, DevOps, pre-sales, project and program management, and delivery center management for Asia. Currently, he is the Director of Digital Engineering & Services at Thales India, where he leads a team of highly skilled professionals spread across India, Australia, and Singapore. Ajay is a proactive and innovative leader who is always on a mission to challenge the monotony and status quo. He is passionate about inspiring, motivating, and unleashing the full potential of his team and people around him. His top interests include failing fast, keeping up with new technologies, brainstorming and problem-solving with his team on complex topics, and identifying and growing talent exponentially. At Thales, Ajay is responsible for the digital engineering and services division, where he has created a team of approximately 200 professionals from scratch. He is in charge of delivering cloud-ready solutions to customers, including Tier 1 MNOs like Rakuten, KDDI, Softbank, and Telstra. Prior to Thales, Ajay worked at Gemalto as a Delivery Center Manager and Manager of System Integrators. In his role as Delivery Center Manager, he was responsible for the P&L of all professional services projects for Asia. He managed remote teams based in Singapore, Australia, and India and was in charge of deployment strategy for on-cloud and on-premises solutions. He also provided pre-sales support, project and program management, and customer and crisis/escalation management. Ajay holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical from the University of Rajasthan and completed his +2 education in Biology/Mathematics from KV No 5 Jaipur. His technical skills include integration, Java, DevOps, software engineering, product management, and mobile. With 15.54 years of relevant experience, Ajay is a valuable asset to any organization.
