Ajay Singh is an experienced Lead Data Scientist with a strong background in financial services and logistics industry. Currently, he is working as a Senior Lead DS at Bajaj Finserv. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in IT from Delhi College of Engineering. Ajay has a demonstrated history of working with various technologies such as AMQP, ElasticSearch, Linux, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Algorithms. He has expertise in developing microservices, normalization, sharding, and Apache Ignite. He has also developed a fast serving reverse geocoding logic to find the address given latitude-longitude. In his previous role, Ajay worked as a Data Scientist at Delhivery where he built a system to predict the path taken by a bike using mobile GPS data. He used ML algorithms to resolve GPS issues and saved INR 10M per month. He also developed and deployed an algorithm to predict the ETA of a truck using GPS data and contributed to OpenStreetMap by finding missing roads. He implemented SVM and Naive Bayes to classify houses as residential or commercial using their address. Before joining Delhivery, Ajay worked as a Software Engineer at PayU where he was part of the development team of the New Merchant Panel. He integrated banks with payment gateway to facilitate direct transactions while strengthening the end-to-end security of its Internet banking services. He developed various web services and customization options for payment flow for merchants. Ajay has a strong technical background and has worked with various technologies such as Python, AWS, ML, C, Neo4j, Sagemaker, Spark, Scikit, Redis, Docker, Neural Networks, MongoDB, Flask, and Azure.
