Ajay Singhal is a seasoned IT professional with over 27 years of experience in various areas, including global onsite delivery, large cloud project management, cloud migration, cloud cost optimization, datacenter migration, IT infra management, security and compliance assurance, customer relationship, continuous service improvement, and profitability management. He has held several senior positions in renowned companies like HCL America Inc, HCL Technologies, Hughes Software Systems, Essar Cellphone, and Mekaster Group. Ajay is currently working as a General Manager at HCL, where he is handling two clients - an American provider of industrial automation and information technology and a large chemical industry company. His key responsibilities include ensuring successful migration of client datacenter to cloud, end-to-end security & compliance of the entire project via internal third-party audit, team training and development, driving weekly, monthly review with technical SME’s and quarterly business review with client leadership team to explore new business opportunities, attending meetings with onsite account manager and key decision makers, P&L management, contract management in terms of SLA’s & KPI’s, managing the team of 400+ SMEs at both offshore and onsite for global managed services support under 24*7 environment, and providing basic cloud training to management staff. In his previous roles at HCL, Ajay exclusively supported cloud migration services for multiple global clients and managed two US-based clients, one world leader in sensor manufacturing and the other leading supplier of automation equipment for test and industrial applications. He worked closely with the onsite and offshore sales team on any new proposal identified for service improvement, executed datacenter migration and transition programs, drove service assurance through well-defined service excellence plan as part of CSI practice, and designed and implemented standard operations and delivery processes. Ajay has in-depth strengths in the areas of leadership, people management, vendor management, measuring employee performance, delegating tasks, and building relationships at all organizational levels. He is a positive, cheerful, dedicated, self-learner, team worker, and customer-focused person who interacts well with people, analyzes, and finds solutions to problems independently. He is keen to work in challenging roles and learn more, apart from cloud learning, he did multiple online trainings during Covid19 lockdown on Google and Coursera. Ajay has international work experience spanning across Asia, Europe, and North America.
