Ajay Tripathi is a self-motivated and passionate software engineer from India with over 3 years of experience in the field. Currently working as a Software Engineer at qatalog, Ajay has been responsible for planning work in the release cycles, writing code, unit tests, E2E tests, providing code reviews, and working in agile teams to improve efficiency and productivity. He has been awarded the star performer award in his current role. Ajay graduated from Amity University where he gained a good exposure to open-source technology. He has been working in the OpenWISP community for more than 3 years now, where he writes code, tests, documentation, and helps out the developers and users in the community. During college, he completed some prestigious internships including Google summer of Code (2019 & 2020) and FOSSEE 2018, IIT Bombay. He volunteered to mentor a lot of students in his college and participated as a mentor in Google Code-in 2018 & 2019 to share his knowledge. Ajay is a clean code enthusiast who enjoys having ownership in work. He is a passionate developer who is always working on a personal project to solve day-to-day inconveniences. He reads a lot of books and writes technical blogs to share his learning with the community. His experience with day job, open-source contributions, and personal projects gives him confidence in his skills. Ajay's past experience includes working as an Open Source Developer at OpenWISP, where he made improvements to various Django modules in the release cycle, learned to write maintainable & clean code from experienced developers, worked remotely with developers around the globe with minimal guidance, and created efficient docker images and deployed on Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud and Rancher. He also worked as a Google Summer of Code - Developer at OpenWISP, where he refactored and rewrote a lot of code to merge modules and clean-up the older practices. Ajay holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Amity University and a High School Diploma in Science from Ryan International School. He is proficient in Software Engineering, Web Development Practices, and Infrastructure. Ajay is always eager to share his knowledge and expertise in Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) & Communities and Digital Privacy.
