Ajesh Nag is an accomplished Engineering Lead with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. He specializes in taking products and teams from zero to one, and has a proven track record of building technical architecture for products that have reached millions of users across the globe. Ajesh has a keen interest in FinTech and has spent the last few years building products across Lending, Payments, Cards, Banking, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services. He is currently working with Freo, India's first credit-led neobank, where he holds the position of Engineering Management and Product Development. Prior to joining Freo, Ajesh was part of the early team at MoneyTap, where he made the first commit for the consumer credit line product that now has tens of millions of users and processes crores of rupees every day. He built and currently leads the mobile engineering team at MoneyTap, where he was also Head of Mobile Engineering. In this role, he was responsible for strategy and architecture for every mobile product in the company's history, technical oversight of all products across platforms, people management, mentoring, and collaborating with some incredibly talented engineers. He built the entire mobile engineering team from scratch. Ajesh has also held leadership roles across a range of FinTech products at MoneyTap, including international expansion in the Middle East, where he led engineering teams and wrote code to ship a FinTech super-app that included contactless (NFC) payments, merchant integrations, UAE government services, and remittances to any country from the UAE. He has also led engineering for the first phase of MoneyTap's B2B2C foray and helped set the foundation for its Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) business. Ajesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Information Sciences from PES University, where he graduated in 2013. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Mobile, Senior Software Engineer, Java, Kotlin, iOS, Flutter, product manager, Spring, and Software Engineer.
