Akarsh Rai is an 18-year-old high school student based in New Delhi, India, with a passion for technology. He is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Booknation, a startup aimed at making education more accessible and affordable to all sections of society. He is also a Young Member at The New York Academy of Sciences and a Software Test Analyst at PathCheck Foundation, a non-profit organization that develops COVID-19 apps for digital contact tracing. Akarsh's goal is to research in the field of technology to make the defense and gaming sector more advanced. He has a strong interest in quantum computing and is currently pursuing a course in it from The Coding School. He has also completed CS106A - Code in Place from Stanford University. Akarsh has a diverse work experience, having worked with Young Scientists Journal as a WordPress Admin and PathCheck Foundation as a Software Test Analyst. At Young Scientists Journal, he was responsible for managing the website, which is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal written, edited, and run by young people aged 12-20 years old. At PathCheck Foundation, he worked on developing COVID-19 apps for digital contact tracing. The PathCheck team is shaped by MIT, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, Berkeley, WHO, HHS, I-DAIR, and many corporations and tech companies. Akarsh has a High School Diploma from St. Brijmohan Lal Sr. Sec. School, where he studied Science - Non-Medical. He has a strong tech stack, including skills in testing, senior software engineering, and research science. With 1.44 years of relevant experience, Akarsh is a driven and ambitious individual with a passion for technology and a desire to make a positive impact on society.
