Akarsh Rastogi is a highly skilled ML, DL, and RL researcher and practitioner with 3.53 years of relevant experience. He is a visionary who dreams of achieving a human-aligned Artificial General Superintelligence that can be interfaced with consciousness, leading humanity to a trans-humanist technological utopia and reaching the stage of a Kardashev scale 1 civilization and beyond. Currently, Akarsh is serving as an Assistant Manager at Genpact, where he has built an end-to-end chest disease detection product for use in radiology departments in hospitals. He has also authored a research paper on the product built by his team, titled "AugMed: Real-time Chest X-ray Pathology Detection and Localization Framework with Convolutional Neural Networks and Ensembling." In his previous roles at Genpact, Akarsh worked as a Data Scientist, building and training deep learning and reinforcement learning models and pipelines to solve problems in computer vision, natural language, optimization, and other domains in data science. He has worked on several projects, including the development of a complete visual product for radiology involving detection and localization of various pathologies in the brain and chest using MRI slices and X-ray images. He has also utilized DeepLab v3+ to segment all chassis parts of various categories of vehicles, detect and estimate damages, and generate confidence SegMaps. Additionally, Akarsh has extracted relevant chat transcripts to run various NLP/U tasks like repeat customer identification and topic modeling. He has also researched and implemented Policy Gradients and other SotA Deep Reinforcement Learning algorithms utilized to solve complex optimization problems like dock scheduling, truck load optimization (3D bin packing under constraints), etc. Akarsh has a Master of Science degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also has a strong educational background from Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali.
