Akarsh Srivastava is an Associate in Strategy & Transactions at EY, with a strong background in programming and quantitative finance. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Quantitative and Computational Finance at Georgia Tech, with a focus on applying computational techniques to financial markets. Before joining EY, Akarsh worked as a Sr. Software Engineer in Samsung Research & Development, where he led several end-to-end development projects and market releases. Akarsh is a highly motivated individual with exceptional academic capabilities in programming and mathematics-intensive subjects. He has strong experience in advanced programming languages such as Python, C++, and R, and has completed various projects based on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, and Data Analytics. He has also cleared the CFA Level I exam and has undertaken several quantitative finance-based projects, including developing a model and web app for 'Headline based Stock Movement' project using NLP and Machine Learning, developing an ML-based model for 'Stock Price Forecasting' and 'Credit Card Fraud Detection', and implementing the 'Markowitz Model' for portfolio optimization. Akarsh is seeking full-time positions starting in Dec'22/Jan'23 in the quantitative finance field, to leverage his skill set and experiences. He has worked as a Teaching Assistant for the course Industrial and System's Engineering 6679 Computational Methods under Prof. Nikolaos Sahinidis at Georgia Institute of Technology and as a Graduate Assistant working under Dr. Sudheer Chava at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. Akarsh has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, India.
