Akash Chatterjee is a highly skilled and experienced technologist with a passion for solving complex problems using simple designs. He is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Zipteams, where he leads the company's technology strategy and oversees the development of its products and services. With over 6 years of relevant experience, Akash has a strong background in AI, data science and engineering, cloud architectures, multiple database types and the Java/Python technology stacks. He is a Senior Software Engineer, Data Scientist, AI and Research Scientist with a deep understanding of SQL, Python, Java, Spring Boot, Spring, AWS, Apache Airflow, and Elastic Search. Prior to Zipteams, Akash was the Co-Founder of Krmaa, where he managed product strategy, engineering, and customer acquisition for his own venture. He was also selected for the Urban Entrepreneurship Program under EnAble India, and was a graduate of the NSRCEL Launchpad Program and Incubation at NSRCEL. Akash has also worked as a Data Scientist and Software Engineer at Lead School, where he built a highly-scalable data platform from scratch as part of the data science & engineering team for one of the fastest growing Ed-Tech startups in India. He incorporated algorithms to derive insights across various SQL and non-SQL data sources, primarily in the areas of clickstream analytics, personalisation, and curriculum development. He also engineered a Spring Boot API layer to expose sub-second computation results from the data platform, which is consumed by multiple applications. Akash holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. He is a highly skilled and experienced technologist with a strong background in AI, data science, and engineering. He is passionate about using his knowledge and skills to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.
