Akash Dusane is an undergraduate student at IIT Kharagpur with a passion for Data Science. He is skilled in Python, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning and is currently seeking opportunities to work in the field of ML and DL to gain greater insights about the fields, expand his skillset, and get a better understanding of real-world scenarios. Akash has a relevant experience of 1.94 years and has worked as a Software Intern at Prudential Global Services Private Limited. During his tenure, he devised a model to extract paragraphs of text from PDFs of various companies’ Corporate Responsibility reports. He also summarized the extracted reports by building a rank-based text summarizer and detecting frequent N-gram sequences. Additionally, he finetuned the SPANBERT model on the annotated dataset to extract spans of text relevant to the vital questions. In the past, Akash has worked as an NLP Research Intern at the University of Sheffield and as a Core Team Member at Kharagpur Data Analytics Group. At KDAG, he aimed at bringing Data Analytics and Machine Learning enthusiasts of IIT Kharagpur together under the umbrella of a single society. Akash's education history includes pursuing a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, which is expected to be completed by December 2023. His field of study is Engineering Design and Manufacturing (Mechanical Vertical). Akash's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Deep Learning, ML, N-grams, NLP, Python, Data Science, and Research Science. He is an incoming SWE Intern at Société Générale and is excited to further his knowledge in the field of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
