Akash Gupta is a highly skilled and self-driven IT professional with almost 4 years of experience in the industry. He has worked as a Backend Engineer, Software Developer, and Associate (SDE-2) at Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Azure, and Amazon. Akash is an IIT-J graduate and an ACM-ICPC alumnus. Akash has extensive hands-on experience in designing and programming in object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methodology. He is adept at gathering requirements at the software component level and adhering to the system objectives. He has gained knowledge of advanced-level programming, including thread synchronization multithreading, multi-processing, and preparing high-level and low-level design documents according to the software requirements specification. Akash's current role is as an Associate (SDE-2) at Goldman Sachs in the Controllers division, RFR. He has designed and developed a generic Java module to generate and deliver reports to users over email on a daily basis. He has also carried out major bug fixes in react web app for a better user experience. Additionally, he has planned and carried out the migration of the application from RHEL6 to RHEL8 Linux servers and documented the process. He has also implemented several REST APIs and exposed them to users to check the data consistency. Akash has previously worked as a Software Developer at Microsoft in Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backups, and CSEO, C+AI. He has designed the low-level architecture and delivered the production code for the protection of the failover cluster in Azure Site Recovery. He has also owned the Azure VMware Solution (AVS) integration with Azure Site Recovery, developed the entire end-to-end low-level design for AVS scenario. Moreover, he has implemented Azure Data Factory for automating the master data pull from the pool, which was done manually earlier. He has also delivered the service, which provides an automatic trigger of Azure search service index build whenever the database gets updated using Azure Functions (serverless architecture).
