Prior to Fold, Akash was a co-founder of devfolio, where he helped build a thriving builder ecosystem in India. He also worked as a software engineer at Zulip, an open-source enterprise team chat platform acquired by Dropbox. As the third employee, Akash was involved in almost every aspect of the product, including building the desktop app from scratch, leading the desktop team for three years, and working on the web and mobile app. He also contributed to the design and UI, responsible for redesigning the internal landing pages of the app and managing the visual and interaction design of the product. Akash's technical work is public on GitHub, and he frequently engages in work-related conversations on the Zulip community server. Akash holds an Integrated MSc in Applied Physics from NIT Surat, where he graduated in 2017. He is proficient in various tech stacks, including mobile, software engineering, design, React Native, UI, and frontend development.
