Akash Tushar is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong interest in technology and product development. He is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Cisco WebEx, where he is contributing to Webex Call Control Initiatives and developing the Webex Calling Application Server (WxCAS) & Cisco BroadWorks features. Akash is also the Global Lead for Emerging Talent at Cisco, where he is responsible for identifying and nurturing top talent across the organization. Akash is passionate about building scalable products from scratch and creating impact through excellence and leadership. He has proven results in software development, big data, strategic growth, and product management. He is well-versed in handling complex problems and translating them into actions that lead to the success of the organization. He has also worked with cross-functional teams to achieve business and engineering goals. Prior to joining Cisco, Akash worked as a Software Engineer at Cerner, where he was part of the Health Network Engineering Data Foundation Team. He worked on the Oracle Health Product, Cerner, and developed, drove, and maintained the Near Real-Time (NRT) processing of Cerner's Millennium data for HealtheIntent, utilizing Kafka, Storm, and HBase. Akash also worked as a Software Intern at Cerner, where he contributed mainly to the ETL phase to facilitate business-driven Data Warehousing and Analytics. Akash holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from VIT University. He also completed his High School education from Nand Vidya Niketan Essar School, where he studied Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, English), and his AISSE from the same school, where he studied Science, Maths, English, Hindi, and Social Science. Akash's technical skills include Software Engineering, Big Data, Product Management, Kafka, ETL, and HDFS. He has relevant experience of 2.68 years in the industry.
