Akbar Sheik is a highly accomplished Information Technology Architect with Management and Business Administration Skills, who has been keeping up with the latest technology trends for 25 years. He has extensive technical and leadership experience in delivering strategic and innovative solutions for complex business initiatives at a rapid pace. Akbar has vast experience in creating IT architecture and solutions to meet organizational strategies. He has hands-on experience in a wide spectrum of technologies ranging from IBM Mainframes, JAVA/JEE, ERP applications, to public/private/hybrid cloud, Blockchain, and cryptocurrency. He has created cloud migration and application modernization strategy and executed the strategy for government, non-profit, and commercial customers. He has also developed cloud-native and cloud-agnostic applications that support structured and unstructured data. Akbar has defined a roadmap, developed, delivered, customized for implementation, and provided production support for IT products. He has developed software applications that not only handle audio, video, and image data but also leverages blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency. Akbar has assessed the current state of application portfolio, created a modernization strategy, and delivered a roadmap to implement micro-services for multiple customers. In addition to creating the modernization strategies, he has worked with customers to define the change management strategy to embrace the latest technologies. Akbar has mastered the delivery of POCs and MVPs at a rapid pace to enable customers to take their products to market in weeks and not months and years. He has defined event-driven architecture for a major client to modernize and monetize organizational data leading to application modernization. He has successfully migrated and retired a 28-year-old mainframe application and migrated legacy JAVA applications out of Oracle Application Server to save licensing costs. Akbar has also worked on the datacenter migration planning to migrate 3000 applications with 6000 interfaces. He has managed remote teams (technical & sales) that are located in APAC, EMEA, and America. Akbar is currently working as Director Application Modernization at Hitachi. He has previously worked as a Principal Architect at Hitachi and Rean Cloud. He holds a DM degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, an M.S in MIS from the University of Memphis, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communications from Andhra University. He also holds an Intermediate degree in MPC from Vikas Residential College, Guntur, and a 10th-grade degree from St. Mary's High School, Bhimavaram. Akbar
