Currently, he is leading the payroll filings team at Rippling, where he is focused on developing a platform for tax payments and filing. Prior to his role at Rippling, Akhil was leading the engineering team at Razorpay, where he was responsible for building scalable financial infrastructure with a focus on reconciliation, accounting, and pricing. Before that, he worked at Flipkart, leading the engineering team in building a data-driven platform for pricing and promotions. Akhil also has experience running a software development company, providing consulting on niche technologies and developing software products and open-source projects. He has also worked on software product development in the digital advertising/marketing domain and social media monitoring. Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Akhil worked on SSL VPN technology in a network security company, Aventail (acquired by Sonicwall). He also has experience in Java enterprise software development, having worked for telecom company Qwest. Akhil holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
