He is a versatile technology leader with a proven track record of successfully driving product development organizations to build OLTP, OLAP, data-warehouse, big-data analytics, and real-time systems, including cloud/cluster infrastructure, data repositories with scalability and high-availability. Akon is an entrepreneur who has worked in global, highly collaborative organizations including startups as well as large corporations. He has technical expertise in solving problems related to database systems and big data, low-latency and stream processing database systems with clustered and large scale distributed architectures. Akon holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology from the University of Sydney, where he also earned a Master of Information Technology (Research) in Database Management Systems. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Software Technology from the National Centre for Software Technology and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Pune.
