Akshama is a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. With over 3 years of experience in software development, automation, and network security, she is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at New York University. Throughout her career, Akshama has demonstrated her passion for exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking. She has a strong background in deep learning and has even published a research paper on the healthcare application of CNNs. In addition to her technical expertise, she is also experienced in cloud deployment and design of firewalls over AWS, Azure, and GCP, promoting 100% automation. Akshama's current role as a Software Engineer Intern at Visa has allowed her to deepen her knowledge of payment products development. She is also looking forward to new challenges in the tech domain, particularly in SDE, ML, network security, and fintech roles. Prior to her current position, Akshama worked as a Software Engineer-II at Cisco, where she handled the company's worldwide security products and solutions in Asia Pacific, EMEAR, and Americas. She was responsible for leading security planning, design, implementation, optimization, and assessment of Cisco security products, including firewalls, email security, web security, IPS malware protection systems. Her achievements include devising a model and filing a patent request for security policy generation and recommendation of access control policies in Cisco firewalls and leading the development council for numerous internal and external development projects, which helped increase productivity by 68.4%. Akshama holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women and completed her high school education at Holy Child Senior Secondary School. She is skilled in software engineering, deep learning, ML, research science, AWS, Azure, GCP, web, and infra.
